Benefits of Ayurvedic Medicine

Ayurvedic Medicine emphasizes the importance of increased AWARENESS in the achievement of health and well-being. We have innumerable choices in life. Should I go to bed at 9 pm or 11:30 pm? Do I exercise daily or once every two weeks? Do I have another helping of turkey and dressing? Choices are part of our freewill. Our senses lead us to things that we like, that bring us pleasure, but which may not be good for our health. We may not be perfect in making these choices, but we have an inner source of help we can draw upon if we become aware of it.

This source or consciousness or body’s inner intelligence will always give us proper signals in response to the every-changing outer environment and our inner world of feelings. Ayurvedic Medicine teaches us how to read the language of signs and symptoms from our body mind and heart. Consciousness is the key; it is not just the momemt-to-moment awareness of what is happening within us and around us. It is the very basis for our different levels of awareness. Increased awareness will always lead to an increase in healthy choices.

As a system of natural medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine is not just about curing symptoms, although it certainly accomplishes that. Rather, it is about building a way of life that creates health and healing, that enables you to become responsible for your own health, and which puts quality in the years.

Here are some benefits from re-enlivening the body’s inner intelligence:

  • Develops beauty from within and without
